Dr. Tarek Saleh

Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

An advanced laparoscopic surgeon with extensive experience in medical and surgical management of endometriosis.

I graduated from Cairo University with degrees in medicine and surgery and then sought out further experience in New Zealand and have been established here since 2004. I went on to specialise in Gynaecology and Obstetrics and qualified as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).

With a special interest in endometriosis and pelvic pain as well as pelvic floor surgery, I continued with a two year intensified sub-specialty advanced laparoscopic training as an Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery (AGES) fellow. I am now the lead laparoscopic gynaecology surgeon at Waikato Hospital and the (AGES) training Program Director. I am also a training supervisor for the RANZCOG trainees.

Leading with an empathetic approach, I strive to make my patients feel comfortable so that they are able to openly communicate their worries and queries with me. By prioritizing a doctor-patient relationship founded on trust, I am able to better understand and cater to patients’ needs. Most importantly, I actively involve my patients in their care and decision-making, to ensure the best outcome and ultimately improve their quality of life.

Dr Tavaziva Mudzamiri

Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

I trained in the United Kingdom as a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. On completion of training in the UK I worked in Scotland with a special interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery and gynaecology oncology. This has driven my passion as a gynaecologist looking after women with diverse conditions as menstrual disorders, endometriosis, pelvic pain and gynaecological cancer. As an advanced laparoscopic surgeon, I believe that the key to a successful outcome for women is to provide the right treatment for the right woman at the right time.

I have a broad private and public practice covering obstetrics, advanced benign gynaecology surgery, endometriosis surgery, vulval and vaginal surgery and minimal invasive surgery. I am a member of Australasia Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society (AGES) and the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE). I am the current Clinical Director for Gynaecology at Waikato Hospital and an Educational Supervisor with RANZCOG with a desire to see the improvement of Women’s Health in Hamilton.

After working as a consultant for 6 years in the United Kingdom my family and I moved to New Zealand in 2017. We moved to New Zealand for its beautiful welcoming atmosphere and fell in love with its family friendly lifestyle.
